Two international hair-color brands, LEKinc out of Canada and Hair Styling Application (HSA) of Italy, have formed a new business entity to market alternative hair color brands to the North American market, the firms announce April 2. The companies, citing a "growing demand" for quality alternative brands in the region, say that the new company, Italhair, will fill a void in the lucrative hair-color market by providing consumers with better access to "quality, innovation and a broader spectrum of color." Giampiero Zanzi, president of HSA Cosmetics, cites the firms' ability to develop innovative products at an accessible price and LEKinc's "unrivalled" grasp of the North American network for optimizing Italhair's market-penetration capabilities.
