The natural and anti-aging markets have boomed in the past couple of years as consumers seek fountain of youth, market research firm Mintel announces May 29. From 2001 to 2006, total makeup sales grew handsomely, reaching $6 bil. in food, drug and mass. About 40% of survey respondents reported using makeup with anti-aging ingredients. Anti-aging items experienced $39 mil. in growth from 2004 to 2006, with Maybelline, L'Oréal and Revlon nearly tripling their sales in the category - from $22 mil. to $61 mil. - during that period.
