Colgate-Palmolive gets new CEO

Executive Summary
Former Chief Operating Officer Ian Cook is now Colgate-Palmolive president and CEO and a member of the company's board of directors, firm announces in a July 2 release. Cook replaces Reuben Mark, who is retiring after 23 years at the CEO post. Cook joined Colgate in the U.K. in 1976 and went on to progress through a series of senior management roles before being named COO in select regions in 2004 and COO of all global Colgate operations in 2005.
