Niche perfumer will accept empty Bond No. 9 bottles - as well as bottles from its competitors - for recycling, the firm announces Oct. 24. Empty fragrance bottles can be brought to the firm's Manhattan stores or to Saks Fifth Avenue doors. "As I become more aware of the issues facing our environment, I feel compelled on a personal and business level to participate in the green movement - and assume a leadership role," company founder and CEO Laurice Rahme said in a statement. Customers who purchase a Bond No. 9 scent when returning an empty bottle will receive a refillable pocket spray.
