Men's grooming brand Gillette and sports interactive entertainment brand EA Sports announce global partnership that will create "a variety of co-promotional marketing opportunities focused on similar male consumers," according to August 28 press release. Deal paves way for joint online marketing efforts leveraging Xbox 360 Live and EA SPORTS in-game environments in over 20 markets in North America, Western Europe, Asia and Latin America. Companies will work together on Gillette-EA Sports Champions of Gaming global tournament launching in late October, in which the best gamers from around the world will compete against each other for the chance to take on Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Derek Jeter or another Gillette Champion.
