Newly reopened Color Innovation Laboratory in Markham, Ontario will create new shades - approximately 50 each month - and technology for all Estee Lauder Companies color cosmetics brands, firm says Oct. 29. Researchers will focus on expanding color shades, finishes and application methods, discovering ways to enhance color products with benefits such as SPF, and coordinating consumer testing with Lauder brand make-up artists. The $3 mil. renovation "ensures our company has the resources necessary to continue to excel in color innovation and creativity - hallmarks of our brands and important drivers in our success," says Harvey Gedeon, executive VP-global research & development.
