Sales for the luxury giant's Perfumes & Cosmetics division were affected by retailer destocking, though declines were offset by robust demand in Russia and China, firm says April 22. Sales for perfumes and cosmetics were $880.3 mil. in Q1 2009, compared with $951.8 mil. in Q1 2008, down 8% on a reported basis. In the quarter the firm launched Christian Dior's Miss Dior Chérie L'Eau and Diorskin Nude foundation. Guerlain expanded items in its premium skin-care range, Orchidée Impériale, and Very Irresistible perfume from Givenchy was introduced. Benefit and Make Up For Ever continued their international expansions, LVMH says
