Executive Summary

Maybelline New York Pulse Perfection vibrating mascara was awarded best cosmetic and fragrance product in the Marketplace Product Showcase Awards during the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Marketplace Conference in Boston June 28-July 1. The product was one of a number of "best-of-the-best" winners chosen by attendees. Among the personal care/health and beauty items, Advanced Beauty Systems' Bodycology line of soaps and lotions took home the award for its new fragrances: cozy brown sugar vanilla and exotic cherry blossom. This year NACDS brought together 251 retail companies and 780 buyers representing more than 145,000 retail outlets. The exhibition hall housed 429 exhibitors showcasing products from 11 major categories and 150 subcategories, NACDS reports
