Inter Parfums teams with Jimmy Choo

Inter Parfums will develop Jimmy Choo-branded fragrances under terms of a 12-year worldwide deal announced Oct. 5 and effective Jan. 1, 2010. Rooted in luxury shoes, Jimmy Choo has grown into a complete luxury lifestyle accessory line including handbags, small leather goods and eyewear and was named "Designer Brand of the Year" and "Brand of the Year" for 2008 by the British Fashion Council and the Accessory Council, respectively, Inter Parfums notes. Jimmy Choo products are sold through more than 100 boutiques in more than 30 countries, as well as in fine department and specialty stores. "This brand possesses the quintessential qualities to ensure the ambitious development of fragrance lines that will be supported by significant advertising commitments over the coming years," states Jean Madar, chairman and CEO of Inter Parfums. Jimmy Choo Founder and President Tamara Mellon cites Inter Parfums' "stellar track record" and says, "It has always been my vision to fully accessorize the woman, and fragrance is an integral part of the modern wardrobe.
