From January through September of this year, 29% of foundations were sold in compact form, 31% of those as a crème to powder formula, and 36% of foundations offer SPF protection, up 11% from the same period last year, according to new data from the NPD Group, released Nov. 23. The firm also found that 33% of all blushes are bronzers, and sales of bronzers are down 1% while general blush sales fell 5% in the first nine months of the year.
