Inter Parfums sales up in Q4, down in 2009

New York-based fragrance developer reports preliminary fourth-quarter sales of $113.6 mil., up 13% from same period a year ago, and fiscal 2009 sales totaling $410.1 mil., a decline of 8%. Fourth-quarter sales benefited from favorable currency conditions and product introductions, including Lanvin L'Homme Sport. Coming launches include Jimmy Choo fragrance and Burberry makeup. Inter Parfums "looks forward to a resumption of growth in sales and profitability in 2010," with earnings guidance of $0.78 per diluted share.
