Ranir buys Synpart Limited

Executive Summary
Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Ranir aims to build a "global oral-care footprint, increase its product offerings, expand its expertise in oral care and enhance its supply chain partnership network" with acquisition of Synpart Limited and Synpart AG from HemCon Medical Technologies, announced July 8. Synpart is a leading manufacturer of store-brand oral-care products in Europe and contract manufacturer for oral-care companies globally. Ranir has a similar business model but also markets an "extensive" line of consumer oral-care products including power and manual toothbrushes, tooth whitening wraps, tooth whitening trays, dissolving tooth whitening strips and dental floss. Firm notes: "We expect to see oral-care category growth fueled by the growing awareness of the connection between oral health and overall wellness in developed countries worldwide.
