With California set to ban biodegradable and non-biodegradable plastic microbeads alike, the District of Columbia considering a ban of its own and a growing contingent of local New York lawmakers taking action to prohibit cosmetic microbead use, it may be time for industry to regroup and step up efforts behind the federal Microbead-Free Waters Act.
