If any of the 43 nanomaterials in the European Commission's long-awaited cosmetics inventory are surprises, compared with previous nano-notifications (or lack thereof), the ingredients could be subject to scrutiny and potential restrictions down the line. Separately, ECHA announced the launch of the EU Observatory for Nanomaterials to educate consumers, workers and industry pros on the nano landscape.
