After becoming the leading seller of brand and private-label earplugs, Cirrus Healthcare Products’ further growth depends on expanding the market for its products. CEO Drew O’Connell says he is talking with OTC firms about co-marketing products, with OTC sleep aids as good potential candidates.

While other national brand names compete in the OTC sleep aid tablet category, P&G’s NyQuil line extension is by far the biggest name among current players in the liquid product category, which has annual growth of nearly 80%.
