Matrixx adds syrup, vapor to cold/flu relief: The Zicam cold and sinus product line will be extended with day- and night-time cold and flu syrups and a vapor-action tablet, Matrixx Initiatives announces at the National Association of Chain Drug Store's Marketplace trade show in Boston June 23-26. The syrup products in 8 oz. containers and the Zicam RapidMelts acetaminophen 325 mg and phenylephrine 5 mg tablets will retail at $6.99 each and will be available in stores in August, the Phoenix-based firm says. Matrixx adds the syrup products with a novel delivery system - marketed with the tag line "The Taste You Choose, virtually tasteless when added to any beverage" - to a line that already includes uniquely packaged disposable medicated dosing spoons designed to mix into hot or cold beverages (1"The Tan Sheet" June 13, 2005, p. 6).
