Cooper Consumer Health Expands With France's Tradiphar
Cooper Consumer Health - formerly Alpha HealthGroup - said it had gained a portfolio of "high profile brands" and strengthened its position in Europe's OTC market with the acquisition of France's Tradiphar.

Paris-based Cooper Consumer Health is set to be acquired by private equity firm CVC, which has been following the growing firm's progress "for many years."
GSK has offloaded a further two brands, this time in Italy, giving Netherlands-based Vemedia the opportunity to bolster its portfolio in the country. Vemedia has also added to its offering in Spain by striking a separate deal with Puerto Galiano.
GSK says London-based Unilever's £50bn bid for Consumer Healthcare fundamentally undervalues a business which generated sales close to £10bn last year and is expected to grow 4-6% over the medium term. The rejection has not dissuaded Unilever, however, with the company intent on stepping up its presence in the health, beauty and hygiene categories.
