ADM Protexin Adds UK Probiotic For Pregnancy
Executive Summary
ADM Protexin's Bio-Kult Pregnéa combines six live bacterial cultures with essential vitamins and minerals to “support women through pregnancy, from pre-conception to beyond birth.”
UK probiotics specialist ADM Protexin have added to its Bio-Kult range a food supplement targeted at pregnant women.
“Specifically developed with expectant and new mums in mind,” ADM said that Bio-Kult Pregnéa is a “multi-action formulation” combining six live bacterial cultures – the lactobacilli plantarum, rhamnosus, acidophilus and bulgaricus and the bifidobacteria longum and bifidum – as well essential vitamins B9 (400mcg), D (10mcg) and C (30mg) and minerals zinc (3mg) and magnesium (80mcg), to “support women through pregnancy, from pre-conception to beyond birth.”
“Whether you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, it is important to eat the right foods to ensure both mother and baby are provided with all the essential nutrients they need to support them,” the company commented. “However, it can be hard to get some of these vitamins and minerals through diet alone, which is where Bio-Kult Pregnéa steps in.
“It is particularly important during pregnancy to support your digestive system, as over 70% of your immune cells live in the gut, therefore, supporting your digestive system could also help to support your immune system,” it continued.
“By taking a daily dose of Bio-Kult Pregnéa, not only can you help maintain your levels of live bacteria, which may benefit your overall wellbeing, but you are also helping towards increasing your intake of vitamins and minerals that are particularly important during this time,” ADM added.
Bio-Kult Pregnéa is available now from ADM’s Bio-Kult website and Amazon at a recommended retail price of £19.94 ($28) for 60 capsules.
