ARCADE GAINS 3M SYNTHETIC MICROENCAPSULATION SAMPLING TECHNOLOGY under a deal between the two companies closed June 22. The acquisition of 3M's Promotional Sampling Products business allows Arcade to round out its fragrance sampling portfolio with the company's synthetic microencapsulation technology. Arcade obtained 3M's three Fragrance Burst synthetic microencapsulation technologies -- Scratch 'N Sniff, Burst & Pearls and Perfume Pearls. Arcade markets the ScentStrip gelatin microencapsulated sampling technology, which it developed in 1979.
