VOC fees

Final approval of the California Air Resources Board's regulation collecting fees from consumer product manufacturers whose products emit 250 tons or more per year of voluntary organic compounds is expected at the end of February, CARB says in a Jan. 26 announcement. Invoices will be sent immediately following the approval, the board adds, noting any changes to the estimates of 2001 emissions for companies subject to the fees should be submitted as soon as possible.
