Peter Lichtenthal is appointed to newly created position of MAC global general manager, effective Aug. 15, Lauder announces. Exec joined the company in 1989 and has served as Estee Lauder senior VP-global marketing since 2001 (1"The Rose Sheet" June 4, 2001, p. 6). Lauder hinted at his promotion in March when the company reorganized the brand with Andrea Robinson as chief marketing officer. Lichtenthal will report to Estee Lauder and MAC Global Brand President John Demsey, who was promoted from his position as MAC president last fall (2"The Rose Sheet" Nov. 1, 2004, p. 7).
