Sunsilk bows stateside: The launch of Sunsilk in the U.S. represents Unilever's "biggest hair care launch" in the region, company reports during the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Marketplace Conference in San Diego, Calif. June 24-27. The collection, which shipped June 12 to mass retailers, is hitting store shelves now, firm noted. Unilever has repackaged its Sunsilk hair-care brand in "fresh new packaging that reflects the fun personality of the brand and stands out on-shelf," according to a June 14 release. "Our customers talked and we listened," Unilever U.S. Hair Care Director Sarah Jensen says. "We took their advice and gave ourselves a Hairapy makeover with vibrant packaging that is consistent with the brand's lighthearted, fun character." The formulations will remain the same; the new packaging will be in full distribution nationwide in July, Unilever says.
