Executive Summary
The California Air Resources Board staff's proposed regulatory language modifications and proposed new volatile organic compound limits for specific consumer product categories will be discussed during a Sept. 14 public workshop taking place at 9 a.m. (PDT) at the Air Resources Board's Monitoring and Laboratory Division Building in Sacramento, Calif., agency announces Aug. 25. One week prior to the meeting, CARB will post a "strike-out-underline" version of the consumer products regulation on its Web site, which will contain all proposed modified language and new VOC limits. CARB staff plans to present to its board the finalized list of categories subject to VOC regulation in November; however, the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association has requested the agency postpone that hearing to give industry more time to prepare for VOC regs (1"The Rose Sheet" July 31, 2006, p. 7)...
