Salon City to launch Internet programming

Publisher of Salon City magazine says it is finalizing plans for launch of its new Internet programming vehicle, Salon City Network, which will offer "entertaining and educational articles and photos in the areas of beauty, fashion and lifestyle," video content aggregated from across the Web, and original content produced by entertainment production company Matrixx. "These videos can also feature deep product and brand integration and information from advertisers," Matrixx Executive Producer Van Vandegrift notes in July 26 release. SCI President and CEO Steven Casciola adds: "The network will offer brands more immediate opportunities to connect with consumers via targeted advertising and compelling special offers."
