U by Ungaro for Her and U by Ungaro for Him will launch globally in August 2008 out of partnership between Avon and fashion house Emanuel Ungaro Maison, whose line bespeaks "a modern sensibility with a cosmopolitan edge," according to Avon. Created by perfumers at International Flavors and Fragrances, the two scents "capture the design house's effortless sensuality and bring Avon consumers worldwide a piece of the Parisian soul that is Ungaro," release notes. U by Ungaro for Her is a "fresh floral woody scent" with notes on bergamot blossom, wet freesia and pepper blossom on top of acacia aura, living lotus flower and osmanthus, drying down to a blend of oris, creamy sandalwood and clean musk. The men's fragrance is a "woody aromatic watery" creation featuring top-notes of green mandarin leaf, ruby red grapefruit and pomegranate, mid-notes of natural Immortale, cardamom and cedarleaf and a base of natural vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, tonka bean and Peru balsam.
