Executive Summary
CVS/pharmacy announces opening of first CVS 360 store Nov. 3 in Washington, D.C. An "upscale shopping destination for the multi-faceted, time-starved woman," CVS 360 features an array of prestige and niche skin care, cosmetics, men's grooming products and fragrances and is staffed by trained and licensed professionals offering "a unique suite of brand-specific signature services" including mini-manicures, express facials, hand massages and make-up application. "Innovation stations" highlight product technology, while "play stations" allow for product testing. Brands launching at first CVS 360 locations include Laura Geller, StriVectin, Mineral Essence, Japonesque, Dr. Brandt Skincare, Lavera, Avaha, Zirh, Coty Fragrance and Juicy Couture Fragrance, company says. "Beauty 360 is the natural evolution of CVS/pharmacy's leadership within the beauty category," Mike Bloom, senior VP of merchandising, says. Second store is slated to open in Mission Viejo, Calif. in early December. Brands Vincent Longo, Cargo, Jack Black, Anthony Logistics for Men, Mario Badescu, Bioelements, Philip B, LOLA, H2O+ and Neil George are newly available this month at CVS' Beauty 360 locations, including just-opened third store in Ridgefield, Conn. Beauty 360 provides consumers with a "prestige beauty shopping environment" directly next door to a CVS/pharmacy, accessible by breezeway.
