Executive Summary

Council realigns legal department: Thomas F. Myers will join the Personal Care Products Council as associate general counsel later this month. Myers is currently counsel, Committee Executive for the Environment, Technology & Regulatory Affairs Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. General Counsel and Executive VP Elizabeth Anderson calls Myers' background "impressive" and says organization is "anxious to utilize his diverse and extensive experience in both national and key state legal and regulatory arenas to better serve our members." Myers replaces Frances Wu, who resigned this month. In addition, Farah K. Ahmed has been promoted to associate general counsel. She currently leads the Council's Sunscreen Task Force and Organic/Natural Committee and manages a number of FDA and FTC issues including product labeling and advertising
