J&J Settles Class Action For “Misleading” Neutrogena Naturals Claims

Johnson & Johnson has agreed to settle a class-action suit alleging that despite “natural” claims, Neutrogena Naturals skin-care products contain petrochemicals and “various artificial and synthetic ingredients.” J&J will specify natural content on the front panel of product packaging and continue to have “open and honest conversations” with its natural customers about product content, the firm says.

The firm failed in motions to dismiss plaintiff claims and block class certification in a suit alleging that Aveeno Active Naturals products are falsely advertised because they contain synthetic ingredients.
