Last week, EndoQuest closed a $42m round to support its endoluminal surgery system, Intuitive Ventures closed a $150m round, Noah Surgical announced the first biopsy procedures with its Galaxy technology in Asia, the FDA cleared Smileyscope's VR system to reduce needle anxiety, and Guardant will collaborate with Cancer Research UK.

Embecta, which recently completed its spin-off from Becton Dickinson, is forging ahead with its insulin injector-based business strategy, GLP-1s be damned. 

J&J originally projected its Ottava soft-tissue robotic surgery system would enter first-in-human trials in 2022 and reach the market by 2023, but the development has been delayed by technical challenges and COVID-19-related disruptions. Now the company plans to start trials of a four-armed version of the device in about a year.
