Biosearch Italia gets $150mm with IPO

Executive Summary

Biosearch Italia (antimicrobial agents to treat multi-drug resistant bacterial and fungal infectious) has completed a $39.66 (Euro42.50)/ share IPO on the Nuovo Mercato exchange, the first listing of an Italian biotech company on that exchange. BI raised gross proceeds of $172.4mm through the sale of 4.3mm common shares, including the 567k share overallotment.
