To expand into the interventional spine market, ArthroCare (ablation technology) is acquiring Medical Device Alliance (manufactures and sells liposuction devices) and its wholly owned subsidiary Parallax Medical Inc. (develops products for percutaneous injection of bone cement, bone access, and bone augmentation) for $27.3mm in cash and future revenue payments.
