Executive Summary
KATIA, TARGET's FIRST PRIVATE LABEL FRAGRANCE, GLIDING INTO STORES now exclusively at the mass marketer's 807 doors nationwide, Target said. The scent, bearing Russian Olympic and world ice skating pairs champion Ekaterina Gordeeva's nickname, is part of a three-year partnership between Gordeeva and Minneapolis-based Target. The fragrance, said to encompass the "spirit and grace" of the ice skating champion, marks Gordeeva's first, and most likely, only product endorsement with the Dayton Hudson retailer. Announced last fall, the deal includes Target commercials and in-store appearances. Katia officially debuted March 30.
