Online drugstore is offering a line of reduced-price store brand OTCs. Some 300 Rx.com products, manufactured by private labelers Perrigo and Leiner, are available now, and the site plans to have roughly 600 products by the end of 2000. The items sell for 40% less than retail brand name drugs and are available in 10 categories, including analgesics, herbals and supplements, vitamins and minerals and women's health. More.com is introducing a private label line containing between 500 and 600 SKUs of OTCs, dietary supplements and other items. The Brite Life line is "priced on average one-third below its branded counterparts and lower than other private label brands," according to the online retailer of H&BAs.
