Executive Summary
Bill prohibiting use of animal tests when a validated alternative exists passes Senate 22-11 with seven abstentions May 25. SB 2082, introduced by Sen. Jack O'Connell (D-Santa Barbara) Feb. 25, amended a stricter version. CTFA, which had lobbied against the bill, withdrew its opposition following the May 3 changes.
