CFSAN program priorities

Center solicits comments on development of fiscal year 2001 program priorities in a Federal Register notice June 23. The format will be similar to the FY 2000 workplan, which divides CFSAN's activities into "A" and "B" lists under five program areas, including cosmetics. About half of CFSAN's budget is devoted to the Food Safety Initiative, with the remainder divided among other areas. Among CFSAN's 2000 "A" list goals are alpha hydroxy acids, diethanolamine and cosmetics enforcement (1"The Rose Sheet" Feb. 14, p. 8). Comments are due Aug. 25
