Executive Summary

New marketing deal establishing Gatorade Energy Bar as "Official Energy Bar of the NBA" coincides with product's national launch next month in food, drug, mass and convenience stores. Gatorade Energy Bar will have an advertising presence during NBA game broadcasts and other league programming and receive rights to footage, photos and logos for advertising and promotional use. Gatorade bar began limited rollouts in February to convenience stores and warehouse clubs in Texas and all states west of and including Colorado, as well as grocery stores in San Francisco area and health clubs and sports-oriented mass market outlets nationwide (1"The Tan Sheet" Feb. 14, p. 4)
