In response to study conducted by British medical charity Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust, non-profit coalition Sun Safety Alliance maintains "it is irresponsible to suggest that sunscreens are not protective," especially at a time when unsafe tanning practices such as tanning beds are on the rise. Sun Safety Alliance adds there is an "urgent need for education about the importance of sun safe behavior and for instruction on how to properly use sunscreens."
