Nu Skin is relaunching Nu Skin 180° Anti-Aging Skin Therapy System with formulas containing polyhydroxy acids to offer a less aggressive regimen positioned for all skin types, the direct seller said.

PHAs have been shown to "function similarly to" alpha hydroxy acids, "but are milder on skin," according to the firm.

The ingredients help encourage cell turnover and improve clarity, as well as "reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, diminish pore size and increase skin plumpness and elasticity," Nu Skin claims.

Results of a seven-day clinical study of the system demonstrated a 39% improvement in skin elasticity, 29% improvement in discoloration, 35% improvement in moisture levels and 19% improvement in texture, according to Nu Skin.

Nu Skin 180° Anti-Aging Skin Therapy System comprises five products designed to be used together, retailing for $236. The first step is Face Wash, which includes 10% vitamin C to diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles and improve tone.

Skin Mist features di- and tripeptides to address lines and wrinkles and HMW complex to calm skin, the firm said. Cell Renewal Fluid contains 15% polyhydroxy acids to increase cell turnover rate, improving texture and radiance while reducing signs of aging and pore size, Nu Skin noted.

UV Block Hydrator SPF 18 features DNA enzymes to reduce the appearance of sun damage and micronized zinc oxide for UVA/UVB protection. Rounding out the collection is Night Complex with creatine to "enhance the skin's nighttime repair process, promote collagen and elastin production and keep skin smooth, soft and vibrant," according to the firm.

The company also is launching one new "companion" product under the line, Nu Skin 180° AHA Facial Peel and Neutralizer ($57.25), which features 10% lactic acid on pre-moistened pads along with pre-moistened neutralizer pads.

Nu Skin products are available in the U.S. through the brand's 75,000 distributors and on the Nu Skin Web site.
