Executive Summary
The Peer Review Report, "The Use of In Vitro Basal Cytotoxicity Test Methods for Estimating Starting Doses for Acute Oral Systemic Toxicity Testing," will be reviewed and discussed during the Scientific Advisory Committee on Alternative Toxicological Methods teleconference taking place Aug. 3 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., committee announces. Panel Report includes section that addresses the "rationale for the use of in vitro neutral red uptake cytotoxicity test methods to predict starting doses for in vivo acute oral systemic toxicity testing" and a section on the accuracy of the 3T3 and NHK NRU test methods.
