Executive Summary
The U.K. Food Standards Agency's Board unanimously agrees mandatory folic acid fortification of foods will be recommended to U.K. health ministries, FSA announces May 17. The FSA board will decide at its next meeting in June whether bread or flour should be fortified and determine potential appropriate labeling, and will make its final recommendation to U.K. health ministers following the meeting.
