LovelySkin: Skin-care company founded by dermatologist Joel Schlessinger, M.D., president of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, announces launch of FixMySkin line "aimed at men with skin-care concerns such as acne and poor skin texture." Schlessinger states: "I have long known that men are the underserved in the skin world. While products abound for women, men oftentimes don't 'connect' with products due to inappropriate fragrances or labeling." FixMySkin products are scent-free and formulated with lower pH levels than most products on the market, pH levels of which range from 3.8 and upward, "which doesn't allow for much exfoliation," according to LovelySkin. Company also is introducing LovelySkin Gel Cleanser for individuals with oily skin, which will join its other products containing amino fruit acids and "wrinkle-fighting" vitamin C to "soothe and hydrate skin while combating the signs of aging."
