AMA adopts a policy to increase physician education on the importance of appropriately counseling patients on aspirin therapy for prevention of heart disease and stroke, according to a separate release from the associations' annual meeting in Chicago. Six trials involving more than 95,000 adults using aspirin demonstrate the potential cardiovascular benefits of aspirin.
