Reader's Digest poll reveals high use of diet pills in China

China not only has the largest population at 1.3 billion, it also has the largest percentage of diet pill users - 37 percent - a 16-country survey of 16,000 people in the February issue of Reader's Digest shows. The report out Jan. 15 also says 30 percent of people in Brazil take diet pills, as do 24 percent of people in Russia and 23 percent in Mexico.
