Abbott eyes contact solution launch

Executive Summary
With FDA approval in hand, Abbott Medical Optics plans October retail shipments of its RevitaLens Ocutec Multi-purpose Disinfecting Solution for silicone hydrogel and conventional soft contact lenses. Abbott said Sept. 29 the next-generation solution has a high microorganism kill rate, reduces corneal staining and minimizes the risk of eye complications.
