Private label and branded products manufacturer is acquired for approximately $9.5 mil. cash by San Diego-based ThermoLase, developer of the ThermoLase System for long-term removal of unwanted body hair, ThermoLase parent ThermoTrex announces. CBI will begin manufacturing a proprietary lotion required in the ThermoLase process and also will provide ThermoLase with "knowledge of the personal appearance (skin care) market" necessary to move the ThermoLase System into salons from testing sites, ThermoTrex notes. CBI, which will operate as a division of ThermoLase, will continue to be headquartered in Dallas. CBI President Paul Cain will "being working with the ThermoLase team immediately" while continuing to oversee CBI's business, ThermoTrex says
