Crystal deodorant trademark infringement lawsuit

This article was originally published in The Rose Sheet

Executive Summary

U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York judge rules June 27 that a lawsuit filed by mineral salt crystal deodorant marketer French Transit in 1991 be transferred to the District of Arizona in the interests of Justice. One of the defendants in the litigation, Arizona-based Larry Morris doing business as Deodorant Stones of America and J&L Products, requested the change of venue. The other defendant in the case, Hargen Distributing, also is located in Arizona. Two attempts to dismiss the case, one filed by Hargen in July 1992 ("The Rose Sheet" August 24, 1992, p. 10) and the other requested by J&L as an alternative to transferring all of the suit, have been denied
