Parties reach an "amicable" settlement with regard to Appel's employment at Escada Beaute Ltd., the firm commented in a recent statement. Appel, who served as president and CEO at Escada Beaute since its inception in 1990, was dismissed in April. He filed a suit charging breach of contract, slander, religious discrimination and violation of New York's labor law June 9 ("The Rose Sheet" June 27, p. 1)
