Ithaca, NY-based biotechnology firm signs a "strategic collaboration agreement" with Italian plant-derivative producer Indena to "develop new commercial products from plant-derived active principles," the companies say. The first two plant-derived products will be for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. Although exact terms of the agreement were not disclosed, Indena will make an "initial investment" in Phyton, which specializes in plant-cell culture and will supply Indena with basic compounds
