TOM'S OF MAINE NATURAL FLUORIDE TOOTHPASTE GAINS ADA SEAL OF ACCEPTANCE for its Cinnamint, Fennel and Spearmint fla-vors, Kennebunk, ME-based Tom's of Maine announced Aug. 15. The three Natural Toothpaste with Fluoride products will begin carrying the American Dental Association seal in October following the sell-through of existing merchandise. Although Tom's of Maine natural toothpaste "has had a very loyal following among consumers" since its introduction in 1975, the firm decided to pursue the ADA Seal of Acceptance "once it became apparent that this was important to our consumers and to dentists," the company explained.
