AVON TAPS TOM COOPAT AVON JAPAN PRESIDENT, CEO and general manager succeeding David Arnold, who is leaving the company. The appointment is effective immediately. Coopat comes to the position with much experience in the region, serving as president of Avon Indonesia since 1991 and, prior to that, general manager of Avon Taiwan since 1982. With this background, Avon noted that Coopat, 51, will lead Avon Japan in improving its direct selling and marketing strategy for the region. Coopat will be succeeded as Avon Indonesia president by Maju Dy Bruncio.
